The #power-rangers channel on irc.dejatoons.net was founded on Friday 20th August 2004 by RailRescue. Originally the team consisted of many operators from another similar channel on another IRC network. Due to disagreements on how this channel should be run, the operators 'split' the channel to another network. This new channel had different policies, rules and a more modern way of working. The original operator team consisted of RailRescue, Karone, Pat and Hariken.

Over time, as the channel grew, we added staff but also lost staff. New additions were goldenslider, Baliztik, RedLightning08, CHIPPER, zeogo, yakko_wakko_dot, MysticPhoenix, ChibiBoi and trekkeriii. When RailRescue decided to pass on the responsibilities, RedLightning08 was voted the new 'leader'. Due to life commitments, RedLightning08 passed on this responsibility to CHIPPER a year or so after.

It has been a long time coming but thanks to all of our operators and members, we have very nearly completed our mission of providing Power Rangers to the masses.

What is next for us? We offer other similar shows that are no longer aired and will continue to do so. Power Rangers may one day come to an end, but the channel will live on - we don't plan on stopping!

Officially announcing our new XDCC bots. As you know from our releases during the RPM and MMPRv2 seasons, you had the option to download from X. Well, we've added more bots, P-R|Alpha5 and P-R|Alpha6 to the channel. To know what the triggers are to download, simply go to the Encode Guide on our website, find the "XDCC Listings" on the top of each of the Encode Guide pages. That will pop-up a window with filenames and such. Simply click on the filenames on the right, then a textbox popup with a trigger to copy will pop-up. Simply copy that trigger text and paste it into your mIRC client, and then you'll be either set to download or put into a queue, similar to the old Fservs. This seems to be a more user-friendly method for our newcomers.

Here is a list of the known troublemakers that have plagued our channel, the old DC hub, and other places throughout the web.

First on the list is a person named Fatih. He is known to stalk people to get what he wants. Whatever means you use to block him, he follows you to every single website, IRC channel, Instant Messenger, etc. Never give your private contact information or attempt to befriend him.

Second person on the list is someone we like to call KitsuneLight. She goes by many aliases on the Internet. She is more of a danger to the IRC community. She will use proxies and new nicknames to get around channel bans. I wouldn't put it past her to use similar methods on websites and other private communities. The other problem is, she does not respect anybody that attempts to help her or instructs her to do something. She takes all suggestions and commands as personal attacks and she counters them with rude remarks. She is also known to try to contact other members to attempt to get you in trouble with false allegations
